It’s a one-hour direct flight from Victoria Falls to the exclusive wildlife gem that is the luxury 20-room Bumi Hills Safari Lodge
, perched on a hill overlooking Lake Kariba (Zimbabwe) and the game-rich shoreline. The incredible panoramic vista cannot be matched by any safari lodge in southern Africa, transforming all public areas, your room balcony and the Spa into pure WOW factors!
The Zambezi River was dammed more than 50 years ago to form one of the world’s largest man-made lakes allowing Bumi Hills safari Lodge
to offer the added dimension of water for cruises, fishing for the fighting “Tigerfish” and safaris to complement the traditional 4 x 4 mode and the rich local Tonga culture. Bumi Hills Safari Lodge
is perfect for corporate conferences (up to 60), incentives and idyllic Weddings in the authentic Wilds of Africa.
The signature infinity pool takes centre stage at the lodge, conveniently located near the terrace bar, alfresco restaurant, residents’ lounge, games room and Kukondwa Spa which all have awe-inspiring views over the game-rich shoreline below, and seemingly infinite lake beyond.
Our executive chef produces a charming fusion of continental cuisine that has a distinctly African twist. Most meals are served in our al-fresco restaurant but for the more adventurous at heart we can arrange a bush meal experience out on the estate, an event you are likely never to forget!
Choose from a wide variety of treatments using the finest range of natural Africology products, and as you are pampered, be inspired by the enchanting view over the massive lake and nearby islands.
Bumi Hills Safari Lodge access:
The Bumi Hills airstrip (FVBM) is located a short 5 minute drive from the lodge. At 1,700m in length it is capable of accommodating all light piston and turbine aircraft comfortably. Charter and Scheduled flights between the lodge and Victoria Falls, Harare, Kariba, Mana Pools and Hwange are available daily.
